Listserv Dissemination Requests

The Music Research Nexus Listserv is provided as a service to over 1,800 listserv members/ music researchers worldwide. Since the inception of the musicresearchnexus.com, users of the webpage have spanned over 80 countries.

It is our intent to provide five types of communications:

1. Calls for Conference Proposals ($19.99)
2. Position Vacancies ($29.99)
3. Calls for Service Nominations ($19.99)
4. Research Funding/Research Award Opportunities ($19.99)
5. Calls for Papers ($19.99)
1. Calls for Conference Proposals ($19.99)

Calls for Conference Proposals include calls for international, national, and state research presentations or poster sessions. Note that we only send out conference calls for the field of music education/music therapy and closely related fields where music education/music therapy researchers may have an obvious interest (i.e., music & psychology, music & performance science, music & sociology, music & medicine, music & assessment, for example). Also note that we do not send out follow-up/reminder emails of conference calls previously sent nor do we send general conference participation invitations.

2. Position Vacancies ($29.99)

Position vacancies include all higher education music education and music therapy positions. Note that we do not send out positions that are primarily non-music education positions with secondary music education responsibilities. Postdoc positions in related fields are welcomed.

3. Calls for Service Nominations ($19.99)

Calls for service nominations include service-related research opportunities in the field of music education or music therapy. These may include editorial nominations, editorial board nominations, SRIG leadership positions, conference steering committee nominations, or other similar research-based leadership positions.

4. Research Funding/Research Award Opportunities ($19.99)

Research funding and/or research award opportunities include calls for funding proposals or nominations for research-based awards. Note that these do not include graduate teaching/graduate research assistantships.

5. Calls for Papers ($19.99)

Calls for papers include calls for research papers for publication in peer-reviewed research journals or closely related practitioner journals. These may include a broad call for submissions or a call for special issues on particular topics. Note that we only send out calls for papers for the field of music education/music therapy and closely related fields where music education/music therapy researchers may have an obvious interest.

Upon completion of the forms, you will receive an automated Google Forms confirmation of its receipt. Please allow approximately 2-5 working days for the notification to be sent out through the Listserv. Requests will be sent out in the order that they were submitted.

Once sent, the notification will then be kept as a public record for reference on the respective webpage. In our first year of operation, we had 14,000 hits across 80 countries to the website. For updated traffic data, please visit the homepage.
